The rated voltage of the Solenoid Valve Coil is DC12V, DC24V, AC24V (50/60Hz), AC110V (50/60Hz), AC220V (50/60Hz), AC380V (50/60Hz). Generally, the AC220V is used in electrical design (no need to install switching power supply, low cost, simple circuit and easy maintenance), or DC24V (commonly used safety voltage, switching power supply / solenoid valve coil are easy to repair and replace).


The method of detecting the quality of the solenoid valve is as follows: firstly, the solenoid valve is connected to the controlled medium (liquid, gas, air with pressure, and the pressure value is the middle value of the pressure range of the solenoid valve), and then the solenoid valve coil is energized, if The control valve has a change from on to off or from off to on, so the solenoid valve is good, otherwise it is problematic.


Solenoid valve common fault
1.coil short circuit or open circuit:
Detection method: first measure the on-off with a multimeter, the resistance value is close to zero or infinity, which means that the coil is short-circuited or open circuit. If the resistance is normal, it is not clear that the coil must be good. Please perform the following final test: Find a small screwdriver placed near the metal rod in the coil of the solenoid valve, and then energize the solenoid valve, if you feel Magnetic, then the solenoid valve coil is good, otherwise it is bad.


Treatment method: Replace the solenoid valve coil.


2.There is a problem with the plug/socket:
Fault phenomenon:
If the solenoid valve is of the type that has a plug/socket, there is a possibility that the metal reed problem of the socket, the problem of the wiring on the plug, etc., cannot be sent to the coil. It is better to develop a habit: screw the fixing screw after the plug is inserted into the socket, and screw the fixing nut on the coil after the valve stem.
If the plug of the solenoid valve coil is equipped with an LED power indicator, then the DC power supply should be used to drive the solenoid valve, otherwise the indicator will not be lit. In addition, do not switch the power plugs with different voltage levels of the LED power supply indication. This will cause the LED to be burned/powered (switching to a low voltage level plug) to short circuit or the LED to emit light weakly. High voltage rating plug).
If there is no power indicator, the Solenoid Coil is not polarized.


Solution: Correct the wiring error, repair or replace the plug and socket.

3.the valve core problem:
Fault phenomenon 1: When the medium pressure of the solenoid valve is normal, press the red manual button of the solenoid valve, the solenoid valve has no reaction, indicating that the spool must be bad.

Treatment method: Check if there is any problem in the medium, such as whether there is a lot of water in the compressed air and whether there is a lot of impurities in the liquid medium. Then remove accumulated water or impurities from the solenoid valve and piping. If it doesn't work again, please repair or replace the valve plug, or simply replace the entire solenoid valve.


Fault phenomenon 2: After inspection, the coil is the original coil and the magnetic force is normal when the coil is energized, but the solenoid valve still does not work, indicating that the spool is bad.

Treatment: Please repair or replace the valve core, or simply replace the entire solenoid valve.
