Common faults in solenoid valve coils are:


1) Short circuit or open circuit:
 
Detection method: first measure the continuity with a multimeter. If the resistance value approaches zero or infinity, it means that the coil is short-circuited or open. If the measured resistance is normal (about tens of ohms), it can not be said that the coil must be good (I once measured a solenoid valve coil resistance of about 50 ohms, but the solenoid valve can not move, after replacing the coil everything Normal), please continue the final test: find a small screwdriver placed near the metal rod in the coil of the solenoid valve, and then energize the solenoid valve. If you feel magnetic, then the coil is good, otherwise it is bad. of.
 
Solution: Replace the solenoid valve coil.


2) There is a problem with the plug/socket:

The symptoms are as follows:


1. If the solenoid valve is a plug/socket, there may be problems with the metal reed of the socket, wiring problems on the plug (such as connecting the power cord to the ground wire), etc. The power cannot be sent to the coil. in. At this point, we should develop a habit: after the plug is inserted into the socket, screw the fixing screw onto the coil and screw the fixing nut behind the valve stem.


2. When the power supply drives the solenoid valve, it will be connected, otherwise the indicator will not light. In addition, do not use the power plugs with different voltage levels of the LED power supply interchangeable. This will cause the LED to be burned/powered (switching to a low voltage level plug) to be shorted or the LED to be weakly illuminated (replace High voltage rating plug).

3. If there is no power indicator light, the solenoid valve coil does not need to be distinguished from polarity (unlike the transistor time relay with coil voltage being DC and the central relay with coil voltage of DC/resistor leakage circuit connected in parallel on the coil, need to distinguish polarity).
 
Solution: Correct the wiring fault, correct or replace the plug and socket.
